Museum, presents “Finding those who serve: military genealogy”.

Sun Aug 23: Cemetery walk at South West Prairie Lutheran Church Cemetery, 4 p.m.

Tues Sept 22: VCHS program at the Vernon County History Center, 7 p.m.
Jarrod Roll of the Monroe County Local History Room & Museum will present a
public history program titled:
“Gone But Not Forgotten: History of the Wisconsin State School / Child Center”.
Sun Sept 27: Cemetery walk at the Vernon County Cemetery, 4 p.m.
Sat Oct 3: Taste of Norway festival at Country Coon Prairie Lutheran Church, 1–4 p.m.
Tues Oct 6: VCHS program at the Vernon County History Center, 7 p.m.
Civil War reenactor Dave Glomstad of La Crescent will present a program
about the 15th Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry, sometimes called the Scandinavian, or
Norwegian, Regiment.
Many Norwegian immigrants to Wisconsin joined this regiment. Glomstad’s
presentation will focus on men from Bad Axe/Vernon County who were in the 15th.

at the Vernon County History Center, 11:30 a.m.
Thurs Oct 8: Genealogy class† meets at the Vernon County History Center, 10 a.m.
