Tues May 5: VCHS program at the Vernon County History Center, 7 p.m.
UW La Crosse assistant professor Laura Godden will present a historical overview
of postcards that highlights their significance as local history research tools.


Thurs May 14: Genealogy class† meets at the Vernon County History Center, 9 a.m.
Wisconsin Historical Society genealogy librarian Rebecca Hopman will present a class via Zoom about the WHS Library resources — “A Visit to WHS: Practical Tips for Planning Your Family History Research Trip”
(note the earlier than usual start time)


Weds May 20: VCHS Board meeting, 4:15 p.m. at the Vernon County History Center.


Sat May 23: Sherry-Butt House opens for the summer season:
Open Saturdays and Sundays, 1 to 5 p.m.,
plus Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day.


Fri May 29: Friday Night Pizza Barn at Sittin Pretty Farm,
S5990 Chamberlain Ridge Ln., Viroqua, 5 – 8 p.m.


June 1: Summer hours begin at the Vernon County History Center:
Open Monday–Friday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.,or by appointment.
